ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, Austrian crypto unicorn Bitpanda has received a MiCA license issued by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), becoming the second crypto asset service provider (CASP) to obtain this license. The license is effective immediately, allowing Bitpanda to operate in all 27 member states of the EU.Bitpanda CEO Eric Demuth emphasized that the EU needs to learn from the U.S. experience and strengthen the enforcement of MiCA regulations to prevent non-compliant platforms from continuing to operate. He pointed out that the U.S. is rapidly positioning itself as a global crypto hub, and the EU needs to take more proactive measures to maintain its competitive advantage.

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Boerse Stuttgart Digital, a subsidiary of the Stuttgart Stock Exchange (Boerse Stuttgart) in Germany, has obtained a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license issued by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) of Germany, allowing it to operate across the European Union.This license is issued based on the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) framework. Previously, MoonPay, BitStaete, ZBD, and Hidden Road obtained relevant licenses from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) last December.

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, the Bitcoin Lightning Network payment platform ZBD (formerly Zebedee) announced that it has received approval from the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) and will be granted a license when the MiCA regulation officially comes into effect on December 30.This license will allow ZBD to provide cryptocurrency custody and trading services throughout the European Union. ZBD submitted its application in April this year and is one of the first companies to be approved.Currently, countries like the Netherlands are prepared for the implementation of MiCA, while other EU member states are still advancing related legislative work. The list of approved companies will be published on the AFM's official website after MiCA comes into effect.
