According to ChainCatcher news, The Information disclosed that the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has appointed former Facebook policy director Matt Perault as the head of AI policy for its Washington, D.C. office. Before joining a16z, Perault served as the director of the Center for Technology Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Perault will lead the firm's bipartisan policy initiatives in areas such as open-source models and AI startups.
