The Io.net response plan for attack incidents and the snapshot time for the reward program conflict, leading to the launch of Ignition Rewards Season 2
ChainCatcher message, the chief security officer of the Solana ecosystem DePIN protocol Io.net, Husky.io, released an update this morning regarding the io.net metadata API attack incident, which requires all nodes to restart and update to the latest client. This conflicts with the reward program snapshot timing. To address this incident, the Ignition Rewards Season 2 was launched in May to encourage supplier participation. Direct collaboration with suppliers is underway for upgrades, restarts, and reconnections to the network. Security issues have been fixed, and the self-service cluster has been re-enabled, with ongoing efforts to develop a self-service large cluster. The browser is being updated to more clearly display recently connected but unverified devices, devices verified through proof of work, and devices that are both verified and actively sending heartbeats.
