Applications built on SIN can access all blockchain data and liquidity.The Synapse Chain is an Optimistic L2, built on the SYN OP Stack, enabling native information interoperability and interconnection. As the hub of SIN, Synapse Chain serves as the inter-chain data availability layer for SIN, where all SIN states are published to Synapse Chain and used for message proof, adjudication, and fraud reporting. Additionally, Synapse Chain implements a modular Layer2 cross-chain, supporting cross-chain deposits and fast withdrawals from standard L2 bridges, native cross-chain communication, and instant cross-chain communication using SIN.

This will build a set of decentralized financial applications that enable users to lend, trade, and earn Bitcoin yields in a decentralized and trustless manner without relying on centralized providers.Interlay stated that Bitcoin's DeFi almost entirely relies on centralized solutions controlled by a few trusted intermediaries.
