Ethereum Beam Chain will be renamed due to trademark issues
ChainCatcher news, Ethereum core developer Justin Drake disclosed that the first community meeting of Beam Chain made significant progress, but the project name needs to be changed due to trademark issues.The meeting showed that there are currently 14 consensus layer teams involved, covering all continents except Antarctica, with development languages including Zig, C, C++, C#, and more. The meeting introduced 8 new teams joining, support from 6 mainnet consensus layer teams, and 2 new Ethereum Foundation coordinators.Drake stated that the project is a multi-year plan aimed at completely upgrading the Ethereum L1 infrastructure. The second community meeting will be held on February 28 at 14:00 UTC, focusing on technical advancements such as post-quantum signatures.
