ChainCatcher news, Bitcoin L2 project Zulu Network announced on platform X that its ZuluPrime testnet Beta is officially launched today.Core updates of the L2 ZuluPrime testnet Beta version include:Upgrade of the smart contracts for the Zulu bridge;Support for multiple tokens to pay transaction fees on the Zulu chain, currently supporting BTC and Zulu tokens;Overall optimization of performance and interface. The Beta market activity Lwazi is scheduled to start on June 8.Zulu Network has become the industry's first Bitcoin L2 project to complete a simulated implementation of ZKP using Bitcoin Script language on Bitcoin, and has contributed code to the BitVM2 official repository. Currently, the Zulu team is rapidly iterating, planning to upgrade to a true Bitcoin L2 in the next phase, inheriting the security of the Bitcoin network.

ChainCatcher news, according to official sources, Zulu Network has open-sourced the first ZKP verification code implemented in Bitcoin scripts, involving the mainstream algorithms Groth16/FFlonk, and has submitted the code to the BitVM repository.This achievement lays the foundation for building a decentralized cross-chain bridge based on BitVM2. Zulu's next goal is to launch a trust-minimized Bitcoin cross-chain bridge using cross-chain technology and BitVM2. Previously, BitVM creator Robin Linus stated that the snark verifier in Bitcoin scripts is a significant milestone for the future development of Bitcoin.Based on the current script size, Zulu Network only needs to split the entire ZKP script into fewer than 2000 sub-scripts. "We are very grateful to all contributors to the BitVM repository, including Robin Linus, Weikeng Chen, and we also want to thank Andrija Novakov and Liam Eagen, whose recent paper 'On Proving pairs' greatly reduced the overall size of the script."

ChainCatcher news, ZeroSync project leader and BitVM developer Robin Linus posted on social media that we have just broadcasted the first mainnet transaction implementing the Blake3 hash lock in Bitcoin Script.It is reported that Robin Linus previously published a white paper titled: "BitVM: Compute Anything On Bitcoin", where BitVM stands for "Bitcoin Virtual Machine". It proposes a solution for Turing-complete Bitcoin contracts that can be achieved without changing the consensus of the Bitcoin network.
