To further mitigate the widespread impact of potential issues in the cross-chain module, BEP171 proposes the following improvements: 1. Upgrade IAVL proof verification to the ICS23 specification. 2. Apply timer locks for large fund cross-chain transfer applications. 3. Cross-chain channels can be automatically paused through forged proof detection. 4.
