The Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute is developing examination and training programs related to virtual asset practitioners

ChainCatcher news, according to BeInCrypto, Colin Shaftesley, the chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSII), revealed that the institute will hold a series of training programs and seminars on virtual assets in the coming months. Meanwhile, two webinars titled "How Digital Assets Coexist in Traditional Financial IT Architecture" and "Digital Assets for Portfolio Management" have already been listed on the HKSII calendar.It is reported that on June 1, the new licensing system for Hong Kong Virtual Asset Trading Platforms (VATP) will take effect. On the same day, HKSII published a statement on its website's latest updates, indicating that it is closely collaborating with the Examination Committee and the Education and Development Committee. Additionally, a virtual asset working group has been established to help formulate corresponding CPT programs and exams to support the new licensing system for market practitioners. Details of the upcoming exams and training programs will be announced soon. Many applicants for the new projects in the HKSII program are interested in the profession of cryptocurrency traders.HKSII is the main licensing body for the financial services industry in Hong Kong and has close ties with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (HKSFC), responsible for providing training and licensing examinations for brokers and asset managers in Hong Kong.
