Ethereum's first decentralized ZK Proof verification layer Aligned Layer has completed a $2.6 million seed round, led by Lemniscap
ChainCatcher news, supported by Eigen Layer, the first decentralized ZK Proof verification layer on Ethereum, Aligned Layer has completed a $2.6 million seed round financing, led by Lemniscap, with participation from Bankless Ventures, Paper Ventures, Sreeram Kannan, Brandon Kase, Daniel Lubarov, DCbuilder, Chainyoda, Weikeng Chen, Sami BENYAKOUB (samnode_), Peter Fittin (SizeChad), and Lucas Kozinski, as well as strategic investments from StarkWare and O(1)Labs.The funds will be used for team expansion and to accelerate the launch of the Aligned Layer mainnet, which is planned for the second quarter of 2024.According to the RootData page, Aligned Layer is a ZK verification layer developed on top of EigenLayer. This will make the verification of any SNARK proof cost-effective, leveraging the security of Ethereum validators without being constrained by Ethereum. As an Eigen Layer AVS, it promises affordable verification and a versatile proof system for L2 and bridges, addressing key needs in the blockchain ecosystem. The project is developed by Yet Another Company.
