aelf announced the allocation of 120 million ELF to reward BPs, candidate nodes, and voters
ChainCatcher message, to encourage governance participation, the public chain project aelf announced the reservation of 120 million ELF tokens (equivalent to 12% of the total ELF supply) to reward BPs, candidate nodes, and voters. BPs can also receive additional rewards, including transaction fees, SideChain index fees, and resource token transaction fees. In the governance election, there is no limit on the number of voters, but there is a limit on the number of BPs and candidate nodes, with a total cap of 2N+1 for BPs.It is reported that aelf adopts the AEDPoS consensus mechanism, allocating governance rights to three important roles that jointly maintain aelf: Block Producers (BP), candidate nodes, and voters. BPs are full nodes that store data, validate transactions, and participate in aelf governance by voting on proposals in the parliament. Candidate nodes have the potential to become BPs and must participate in governance elections. Voters are holders of Mainnet ELF tokens who vote for nodes by staking ELF.
