Crypto venture capital firm 10SQ is seeking to launch a new $200 million fund
ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg citing two informed sources, a team of cryptocurrency investors is seeking $200 million in funding to support a new company called TenSquared Capital that invests in digital asset startups. The company is abbreviated as 10SQ and was initiated by employees of the cryptocurrency-focused investment firm 10T Holdings.According to the crypto data platform RootData, 10T Holdings has invested in companies such as the digital asset trading platform Kraken, cryptocurrency wallet manufacturer Ledger, and Bored Ape Yacht Club creator Yuga Labs.According to informed sources, some of 10T's LPs have already committed to injecting capital into the new fund. They stated that the fund plans to make two investments, one of which is in a cryptocurrency wallet infrastructure startup that may close in the coming months. Informed sources indicated that 10SQ will seek to support cryptocurrency startups at different stages of growth and will focus more on equity investments rather than token investments. The company plans to become a registered investment advisor, following the path of other venture capital firms like Sequoia Capital and a16z. (Source link)
