American Trap

Blum CEO: I recommend reading "American Trap," which was previously recommended by Zhao Changpeng, as the founder of Telegram is experiencing a similar situation

The CEO and co-founder of the hybrid exchange Blum, Gleb Kostarev, suggested that readers read "The American Trap" by Frédéric Pierucci to understand "what really happened." The book was previously recommended by Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao. Kostarev pointed out that Pierucci's arrest at the airport was part of a larger plan to undermine the French company Alstom. He believes similar pressures are being applied to Telegram founder Pavel Durov. Kostarev stated that this is not a new phenomenon in history.Additionally, he mentioned that there were technical difficulties during the DOGS token airdrop, which caused users to encounter setbacks when claiming tokens in the tasks. He apologized for this, stating that every transaction would be recorded to ensure fair distribution of the airdrop. It is reported that the author of "The American Trap," Pierucci, was arrested by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2013 on charges of commercial bribery and was imprisoned in the U.S. for a period of time. The book details his arrest, trial, and experiences in prison. It points out that the U.S. uses legal tools such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) to investigate and sanction foreign companies. These laws are intended to combat corruption, but Pierucci believes they are sometimes used as weapons of economic competition.
