The U.S. January CPI data exceeded nearly all analysts' expectations
ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, before the release of the U.S. January CPI, among 73 forecasters surveyed by institutions, only 5 believed that the core index would rise by 0.4%. The others predicted 0.3% or less. As for the overall CPI, no one expected it to be 0.5%. All 73 economists' predictions were at 0.4% or lower. This highlights the negative surprise of the report.
