Scroll
Scroll is the native zkEVM Layer 2 solution for Ethereum. It achieves native compatibility with existing Ethereum applications and tools. Scroll processes off-chain transactions and publishes concise correctness proofs on-chain.
On October 8, Scroll (SCR) announced its launch on Binance Launchpool and Pre-Market, with a total token supply of 1 billion, of which 5.5% (55 million) is allocated to Launchpool. Scroll plans to conduct an airdrop snapshot on October 19, with the claiming period starting on October 22. The project's last funding round valued it at $1.8 billion. After Binance's opening, the token price is approximately 1.2 USDT, corresponding to an FDV of $1.2 billion.
Sui
Sui is a permissionless Layer 1 blockchain designed from the ground up to enable creators and developers to build experiences for the next billion users in Web3. Sui features horizontal scalability, supporting a wide range of application development at unparalleled speed and low cost. This week, Sui remains highly popular, with the ecosystem announcing multiple positive news, including but not limited to:
- Grayscale Sui Trust has opened to qualified investors;
- Sui is advancing the Solana killer narrative, starting with TPS data and Meme segments, featuring "golden dogs" like Hippo, Blub, and AAA;
- Circle announced the official launch of native USDC on the Sui network, which has also been included in Coinbase's asset listing roadmap;
Aleo
Aleo is a developer platform for building fully private, scalable, and cost-effective applications. Using zero-knowledge cryptography, Aleo moves smart contract execution off-chain to enable a variety of decentralized applications that are both fully private and capable of scaling to thousands of transactions per second.
On September 18, Aleo's mainnet officially launched, followed by the listing of Aleo token ALEO on Coinbase. However, after the mainnet launch, Aleo faced significant criticism, particularly from miners, regarding drastic changes in token economics, a one-year lock-up period for rewards, and the requirement for all users to complete KYC to claim airdrops.

EigenLayer
EigenLayer is a protocol built on Ethereum that introduces the concept of re-staking, a new primitive in crypto-economic security. This primitive allows users to re-stake $ETH on the consensus layer. Users who stake $ETH can choose to join EigenLayer smart contracts to re-stake their $ETH and extend crypto-economic security to other applications on the network.
Recently, EigenLayer has been embroiled in trust issues, with investors raising concerns about staking rewards, lock-up tricks, and token distribution problems. Nevertheless, the project remains a leader in the re-staking sector, continuing to attract the attention of many DeFi players.
Babylon
Babylon is a layer 1 blockchain founded by Stanford University Professor David Tse. The project's mission is to bring Bitcoin's unparalleled security to all PoS blockchains without any additional energy costs. Sonic Labs co-founder Andre Cronje recently announced that the Sonic mainnet will be open to the public in December 2024, promising up to 90% of Gas rebates returned to the protocol from user/contract TX and airdropping 200 million tokens.

Swell Network
On October 10, the Ethereum liquid staking protocol Swell Network announced that airdrop queries are now open. Swell also introduced the re-staking feature for the SWELL token, allowing users to stake tokens as rSWELL to help protect the Swell L2 network.
Puffer Finance
The Ethereum re-staking protocol Puffer Finance published its native token PUFFER's tokenomics, with a total supply of 1 billion tokens, of which 7.5% is allocated for the Crunchy Carrot Quest Season 1 airdrop. 1% of the total supply of PUFFER will support Ethereum core development, with a vesting period of 4 years. The ecosystem and community allocation is 40%, with 5.5% allocated for the second season airdrop, 20% for early contributors and advisors, and 26% for investors.
