Yesterday, Bitcoin fell below $77,000, Ethereum dropped below $1,800, and altcoins were "bleeding profusely." In this gloomy market, anxiety seems to be an unavoidable emotion, but why not change perspective and look to the future? The upcoming airdrop projects may be hiding an undiscovered gem, waiting for the next wealth explosion.

This article will review recent projects that are about to airdrop or have potential airdrop opportunities, guiding everyone through the market fog to capture future opportunities.

Quick Overview ( Short on time? Focus on the highlights )

Nillion and Babylon have initiated their airdrop processes, and eligible users can participate as soon as possible.

Caldera and Sign have announced some airdrop information, but specific rules are still pending disclosure.

Projects like StakeStone and Initia have not yet officially announced, but there are signs indicating potential airdrop opportunities, allowing for early positioning.

Here is a summary of the known core information:

Detailed Analysis of Project Background and Airdrop Progress

Privacy Secure Computing Network Nillion

Since its establishment in 2021, Nillion has benefited from its unique concept of a "blind computing" network. This network combines privacy-enhancing technologies such as Multi-Party Computation (MPC), Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), and Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) to ensure that data remains encrypted throughout the entire computing process.

Nillion provides developers with a wealth of tools to support the creation of privacy-centric applications in areas such as artificial intelligence, DeFi, and data storage, promoting the development of decentralized privacy computing.

Airdrop Progress:

Nillion will open airdrop queries on March 13.

In designing the airdrop matrix, the Nillion team identified three main categories:

  • Community Value
  • Developer and Open Source Contributions
  • Participation in the Validator Program

Exclusions from the Airdrop

Two categories of participants will not be included in the airdrop:

  • Participants with extremely low engagement as Secret submitters: Those who submitted only 4 Secrets, did not stake any ETH, did not obtain a Discord role, and do not own a Nill Pill NFT.
  • Participants with extremely low engagement as late validators: Those who participated in validation after September 14, 2024, did not stake any ETH, did not obtain a Discord role, and do not own a Nill Pill NFT.

Additionally, witch attacks and airdrop "bots" will also be excluded; even if the eligibility checker shows compliance, these accounts will ultimately not be included in the airdrop list.

Bitcoin Staking Protocol Babylon

Babylon is a staking protocol, with its core component being a POS public chain compatible with Cosmos IBC, which allows Bitcoin to be locked on the Bitcoin mainnet to provide security for other POS consumer chains while earning staking rewards on the Babylon mainnet or POS consumer chains.

Airdrop Progress:

Airdrop registration is currently ongoing and will end at 4 PM (Beijing time) on March 15.

During the registration period, users can create a BABY address and link it to their Bitcoin wallet or other eligible active accounts used for staking, to receive the airdrop when Babylon Genesis launches. Users who miss this round of registration due to wallet compatibility issues may still have a second chance to claim after the Genesis launch.

Eligible Groups for This Airdrop:

  • Phase 1 stakers: Users who completed staking before Bitcoin block height 875087 (cap 3), regardless of whether the stake was accepted or overflowed.
  • Pioneer Pass NFT holders: The snapshot was completed at Polygon block 68305555 (around UTC time February 24, 2025, 07:15).
  • Phase 1 finality providers: Those who registered on Babylon GitHub and received delegation in Phase 1.
  • Eligible GitHub contributors: The snapshot was completed at UTC time February 23, 08:00.

Additionally, participation in Binance financial activities, wallet activities, etc., may qualify for extra airdrops. Specific social media contributors will also receive airdrops.

L2 Blockchain Caldera

Caldera focuses on building high-performance, customizable, and application-specific second-layer blockchains. These customized blockchains (Caldera Chains) provide high throughput, low latency, and customizable features to optimize the performance and user experience of decentralized applications, capable of processing hundreds of transactions per second with sub-second confirmation times. Caldera enables anyone to launch and run dedicated, high-performance second-layer blockchain "Rollups."

Airdrop Progress:

On February 19, the Caldera Foundation announced it would launch the ERA token this year through a retrospective airdrop. Information on the token economic model, token use, initial supply distribution, etc., has yet to be disclosed.

Full-Chain Certification Protocol Sign

Sign Protocol is a full-chain certification protocol that allows users to freely authenticate and verify any information on the chain. Sign provides a set of tools, infrastructure, and standards to create a future where all claims and assertions in the network and surrounding world are driven by verifiable certifications.

Sign relies on decentralized blockchain, data storage solutions, and other modern technologies, combined with zero-knowledge encryption, digital signatures, and other emerging technologies to ensure the credibility and security of information.

Airdrop Progress:

On March 3, Sign announced the airdrop eligibility information, mentioning four criteria for obtaining airdrop SBTs.

  • SBT (Soulbound Token): Non-transferable honor badges.
  • NFT: A tradable version of SBT.

Users holding SBTs and NFTs will receive the $SIGN airdrop.

  1. Community Supporters: Members who actively support the Sign and Orange Dynasty communities, judged by criteria including frequency of community interaction, quality of interaction, whether AI-generated content is used, and genuine emotional investment.

  2. Core Members: Required to actively participate in Orange Dynasty activities, including but not limited to consistently high-quality participation in the daily Orange Dynasty calendar on the X platform, and maintaining active engagement in daily tasks on Telegram and Sign's Twitter Spaces.

  3. Outstanding Content Creators: Required to actively and enthusiastically create and explore content, evaluated by criteria including the enthusiasm for content creation, creativity of the content, continuity and improvement of the content, and openness to feedback on others' content.

  4. Core Builders: Required to make extraordinary contributions in Orange Dynasty, with specific evaluation criteria varying by individual.

Potential Airdrop Projects

Full-Chain Rollup Network Initia

Initia is a full-chain Rollup network built by merging novel L1 with application-specific L2 infrastructure systems. The Initia platform provides product-ready Rollups, enabling teams to build scalable sovereign systems while eliminating the user experience complexities faced by end-users when interacting with a modular multi-chain universe.

Initia has built a new multi-chain economic framework, Initia VIP, which helps L2 attract and retain users while creating new use cases for tokens, thereby driving the value growth of INIT and L1.

Project Updates

On March 5, Initia's official X account posted "March," possibly hinting at significant events in March.

On March 7, Initia announced it would close its wallet extension service at 3:00 AM (UTC) on March 18.

On March 10, Initia announced that the initialization of the mainnet had reached 90%.

From the latest official updates, Initia may be nearing TGE, and ecological development is about to enter a new phase.

Full-Chain Liquidity Infrastructure StakeStone****

StakeStone is a full-chain liquidity infrastructure. Unlike POS staking pools and restaking pool protocols, this platform focuses more on building liquidity distribution for ETH, BTC, and stablecoins. Whether helping assets earn through dynamically adjusted underlying strategies or providing full-chain liquidity for multi-chain ecosystems.

Project Updates

On February 28, StakeStone tweeted, "If users hold assets like STONE / SBTC / STONEBTC / BERASTONE, they should continue to hold. Stay alert and be ready at any time." accompanied by a camera photo, possibly hinting at an upcoming airdrop snapshot.

On March 3, StakeStone opened its official X account for the foundation.
