ChainCatcher news, according to crypto.news, the FBI has charged the crypto network gang FIN9, which orchestrated crypto-related hacking attacks on U.S. companies, resulting in losses exceeding $71 million. FIN9 members Ta Van Tai, Nguyen Viet Quoc, Nguyen Trang Xuyen, and Nguyen Van Truong are alleged to have breached the computer networks of multiple U.S. companies, stealing private data including information about employee benefits and funds from May 2018 to October 2021, according to non-public information.
According to the indictment, the cybercriminals infiltrated company networks through phishing activities and supply chain attacks.
