Mask Network Third Round Funding Social Ecology Project Review
Written by: Mask Network
Compiled by: Deep Tide TechFlow
The Mask Network Web3 social ecosystem funding has entered its third round, and this time we have selected 33 funded projects from numerous applications. These projects are divided into three categories: Web3 Social, Autonomous Worlds, and Public Interest. Among them, 10 projects were selected for the Web3 Social category, 12 for the Autonomous Worlds category, and 10 for the Public Interest category.
These projects come from multiple countries, including China, the United States, Germany, Scotland, Spain, Poland, Australia, Russia, India, and Singapore.
As we can see, Autonomous Worlds are thriving, with 10 fully on-chain game projects emerging, many of which are built on Starknet. Additionally, there are two projects dedicated to building communities and content creation for fully on-chain games.
As Mask Network continues to build the Web3 social ecosystem, we have seen a variety of Web3 social projects emerge in this round. Projects like eth.limo and eth.cd enable users to access or create Web3/Web2 profile pages based on ENS services. Other projects, such as Data2.cash and Pulse, help users maintain their privacy using zero-knowledge proof technology, ensuring their social content can be securely distributed to the intended audience. Furthermore, projects like Solid Credentials Clients and DAuth assist users in verifying credentials. Most of these projects contribute to the prosperity of the Web3 social ecosystem, and we deeply admire this.
In terms of public interest funded projects in this round, we have also observed many projects providing different values. ZKP2P offers a trustless peer-to-peer (P2P) fiat-to-cryptocurrency gateway powered by ZK (zero-knowledge proof) technology.
OpenBuild and Glacier Network are empowering developers and strengthening the infrastructure for decentralized applications. Discoco Lab and Concrete are building infrastructure for Layer 2, one for Bitcoin Layer 2 and the other for application-specific Rollups with built-in digital physics.
Tokenary focuses on providing an excellent Web3 experience for Apple Safari users, emphasizing the importance of accessibility and inclusivity in driving adoption.
Web3 Social
1.eth.limo
Twitter: https://twitter.com/eth_limo
Website: https://eth.limo
eth.limo is a free public ENS gateway that allows users to access Ethereum-native dApps and content. There is a significant demand for accessibility from projects and users seeking to leverage ENS dWeb sites. Research shows that ENS dWebsite traffic is rapidly growing. The eth.limo gateway currently handles an average of 3-6 million requests per day. Currently, the original traffic for eth.limo mainly comes from DAOs, DeFi applications, and their related products/services, SEO crawlers, and new projects within the community. In the long tail, eth.limo serves a variety of independent dWeb sites, from personal resumes and portfolios to custom NFT art projects. The ENS protocol and community will greatly benefit from the increased adoption of easily resolvable ENS domain names. What sets eth.limo apart is that no special configuration is required to use the service. As long as the ENS domain is configured correctly, the eth.limo gateway will automatically resolve its content.
Eth.limo (LIMO) is a privacy-preserving ENS gateway that enables users to access Ethereum-native dApps and content. LIMO represents a shift in dWeb adoption by providing an alternative means to access ENS-resolvable domain names.
It further develops public gateway services by enforcing strong privacy guarantees, such as never logging IP addresses or performing TCP fingerprinting (the process by which a remote site or service collects a small amount of information about the user's machine and creates a unique profile of the user). It also actively blocks FLoC (a Google-developed algorithm that tracks and associates users based on their browsing history).
LIMO supports every ENS-compatible storage layer, allowing users to use IPFS, Arweave, and Swarm ContentHashes. Additionally, it supports L2 and off-chain lookups via CCIP-Read, emoji and Unicode domains, fallback record checks, and on-demand ENS subdomain certificates.
In the future, LIMO will enhance accessibility and facilitate the developer experience through a set of modern deployment tools. For example, hot caching (real-time dynamic updates to ENS mapping cache when on-chain records are updated), reverse lookups (searching for ENS names based on IPFS CID or contenthash), and a community-run content delivery network (CDN) to decentralize LIMO infrastructure.
2.Data2.cash
Twitter: https://twitter.com/data2_cash
Website: https://data2.cash
Demo: https://demo.data2.cash
Data2.cash is a user data asset trading protocol designed to empower users to own the value of their data creation and form a composable user profile layer.
While users can control their data and earn passive income from it, data users can access user data through the Data2.cash API. New applications no longer need to collect user data from scratch; they can immediately access rich aggregated user data by connecting to the data layer.
Users import their metadata (e.g., wallet accounts, Twitter accounts, GitHub accounts, etc.) from data collectors into their account vaults, and tags will be found from the metadata. Later, users can generate zero-knowledge proofs from their tags and link them to their ZK profiles. Data users can use the Data2.cash API to search for ZK identities using specific tags and pay for the search, with ZK identity owners rewarded for providing their data.
3.Solid Credentials Client
Twitter: Twitter.com/otherJackson
Website: https://o.team
Today, credentials are handled in a centralized manner. Services often rely on centralized due diligence software services (e.g., LexisNexis or Onfido) to verify that a person is who they claim to be. With verifiable credentials, intermediaries are no longer necessary. It only requires a trusted issuer to sign the credentials, a wallet that holds the credentials, and a verifier interested in reading the credentials.
The goal of Solid Credentials Client is to enable anyone to become an issuer, holder, and verifier, eliminating the need for identity verification intermediaries.
4.DAuth Network
Twitter: https://twitter.com/DauthNetwork
Website: https://dauth.network
DAuth is a novel approach that adapts Web2-style authentication mechanisms to the Web3 ecosystem while ensuring decentralization and protecting user privacy.
DAuth allows users to log in to their Web2 authentication in a privacy-conscious, permissionless, and verifiable manner.
When users use DAuth, they can directly use their Web2 social accounts, but their data can remain confidential.
How is permissionless achieved? DAuth integrates ZK proofs, allowing user verification without holding keys.
Regarding verifiability, DAuth's proofs can be verified both on-chain and off-chain to ensure flexibility and security.
DAuth can lower the barrier for new users, allowing those with Web2 social accounts to log in confidentially using their data. This can help drive mass adoption of the Web3 ecosystem and bring in more users.

Website: https://stratagems.eth.limo/
Stratagems is an infinite board game, a persistent and permissionless game where players use a specific set of colors to compete for control of the board.
Thus, "Stratagems" is primarily a social game. Its main inspiration comes from successfully leveraging simple mechanics to create a deep social game like conquest.eth. Stratagems further explores this by adopting simpler rules and minimizing costs through actions spread over a week. It is effective because much of the game's content unfolds in the dialogue and strategies between players. While primarily on-chain, Stratagems expands its gameplay by providing engaging off-chain games with associated social complexities.
Stratagems is a unique social coordination experiment. It also demonstrates that new types of games are possible even on high-cost networks like the Ethereum mainnet. Moreover, as a game, if successful, it will clearly attract a lot of attention.

Public Goods
1.ZKP2P
Twitter: https://twitter.com/zkp2p
Website: https://zkp2p.xyz/
ZKP2P is the first trustless peer-to-peer (P2P) fiat-to-cryptocurrency gateway powered by ZK.
Initially, ZKP2P integrated permissionlessly with the popular U.S. payment platform Venmo to convert dollars to USDC. This can be expanded to any payment platform and any crypto asset in any country.
As cryptocurrency evolves (DeFi, NFTs, social, on-chain gaming), the necessity for seamless and trustless interoperability between fiat and crypto assets becomes increasingly important. Existing gateway solutions fail to meet this demand: they lack global inclusivity (Coinbase is not available everywhere). Direct gateways charge high fees (up to 5%). Complex KYC processes. Require multiple transactions/slow speeds. Cannot be combined with smart contracts (e.g., cannot directly use USD to purchase Friendtech keys).

Glacier is building a modular, dynamic, and scalable NoSQL database for large-scale decentralized applications. Glacier empowers decentralized applications (DApps) to build on decentralized databases (DDB). It provides a programmable data composition solution powered by ZK-rollup to easily handle data within GlacierDB.
Technical details:
Modular and decentralized, protected by ZK-rollup
Each row in the collection is a dynamic NFT
Fully supports NoSQL and CRUD similar to MongoDB
Data management and incentives using stablecoins and tokens
Each database can be managed by a DAO
Apply ZK proofs to verify queries in the cache
Integrate encryption protocols to control column access
Monetize datasets based on the X2E economic model
Develop web3 DApps at extremely low costs
Most Web3 DApps temporarily store user and product data on centralized cloud services due to a lack of developer-friendly decentralized storage tools, leading to pseudo-decentralization and issues of data insecurity, lack of scalability and capacity, and non-interoperability of smart contracts. The foundational storage protocols are too slow, and the behavior of computing states is too heavy/unfeasible, making decentralized databases a crucial missing part of the Web3 stack.
