How to Successfully Obtain "Pens" and "Points"?
- Deposit "USDT" and Matic (or ETH) into your wallet address:
- Click the yellow wallet icon in the upper right corner to enter the wallet interface;

- After purchasing USDT on the centralized exchange, directly exchange USDT-Matic (or ETH) trading pair for Matic (or ETH) on the exchange, then select withdrawal, paste your address, choose the Polygon network (or Ethereum network), confirm the withdrawal, and wait a few minutes. (It is recommended to register a Polygon account to experience the game, as the GAS fees are more economical).

- Click the yellow wallet icon in the upper right corner to enter the wallet interface;
- Click "Purchase"
- Purchase the "pens" or "points" you need.
Next, you will officially become a Socrates member and start your Socrates journey! Here’s a little tip for navigating Socrates: If you want to have a light experience first, it is recommended to initially deposit 12 USDT (including purchasing "Basic SBT Pen" for 10 USDT + "Points" for 2 USDT), which can basically meet various needs for your first experience with Socrates.
In addition, the higher the level of the "SBT pen," the different rights you have whether you are a questioner or responder. The higher the level, the higher the rights (the proportion of prize pool sharing). Different levels of pens have different prices, can participate in different numbers of votes, and can customize the contribution points (i.e., the energy required for other users to participate in the question) range, which will ultimately affect the prize pool and rewards. Besides purchasing SBT pens, when purchasing SBT pens, you have the chance to receive NFT pen airdrops, and you can also directly purchase NFT pens on OpenSea to enjoy more rights.
- SBT Pen: Uses the ERC1155 protocol, issued without limit, one address can only hold one SBT pen, can be upgraded but not transferred;
- NFT Pen: Uses the ERC721 protocol, with a total issuance of 500,000 pieces, 100,000 pieces on each chain of Polygon and Ethereum. One address can hold multiple NFT pens and can be transferred.
- Each NFT pen held contributes points *2 during questions, and the reward coefficient is stacked (holding multiple NFT pens accumulates rewards, up to 10). Holding NFT pens may receive additional airdrops in the future.
- The question prize pool has a separate prize pool for NFT pens, and holding NFT pens to participate in games will yield more rewards.
- Using NFT pens to support ordinary questions, the support for rewards, one NFT pen's support is equivalent to supporting 100 points.
*Due to product iterations and optimizations, please refer to the Socrates white paper for the latest detailed information on SBT/NFT pens.
(4) Activate Social Mode and Strive to Earn Rewards
In Socrates, you can be both a questioner and a responder. Users can engage in the following interactions on Socrates and have the opportunity to earn different awards based on different social interactions:
- Create questions
- Vote: Choose the answer you agree with; you can choose A or another answer. Therefore, it is recommended to choose based on your actual situation and needs!
- Comment: Share your thoughts on the answer you selected
- Reply to comments: Respond to others' comments
- Like: Like others' comments to express support
- Support: Bet points on questions or use NFT pens to support, helping the question become a trending question.
About "Questions"
In Socrates, anyone can ask questions and design different options. Users can customize the deadline for the questions, and after the deadline, users will not be able to answer the question. During the question's validity period, based on the popularity of the question, ordinary questions have the chance to become trending questions. Each question has a point prize pool, ensuring that the questioner can receive a certain share. When a question becomes a trending question, the prize pool will generally increase. In addition, the system will share the previous day's SBT pen sales and upgrade profits with the questioner, so questioners of trending questions can receive more rewards.
Ordinary Questions: All questions start as ordinary questions. After the question deadline, based on other users' interactions with the question, including voting, commenting, liking, and supporting. In addition to providing rewards to the questioner, the ordinary question prize offers dialectical rewards, like rewards, and reason rewards, calculated by the system through specific algorithms, determining the rewards each user participating in the question can receive.
Trending Questions: When ordinary questions attract more attention and become "trending questions," in addition to the aforementioned awards, users who support the question with points or NFT have the chance to receive support rewards. If the question does not become a trending question, all support points will be returned to the supporting users.
About the Prize Pool
The total prize pool is determined by the points bet by all users participating in the question, minus platform fees. The total prize pool is divided into different awards based on the following proportions. After the question ends, different algorithms will select users eligible for awards and distribute the prize pool to those users. Users' eligibility for awards and the distribution ratio will depend on various factors such as the answer chosen, interaction time, total participants in the question, etc. However, in general, the more actively you interact, the more award opportunities you can create!
Of course, the number and level of pens determine your incentives. This means that if you qualify for a certain award, the number and level of your pens will determine the proportion of the prize pool you can share. The actual proportion depends on how many people qualify for the award and the number and level of pens others hold.
*Due to product iterations and optimizations, please refer to the Socrates white paper for the latest prize distribution methods.
