As a highly anticipated annual event, the 20th China International Digital Interactive Entertainment Exhibition (ChinaJoy) will be held from July 28 to July 31, 2023, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The 2023 ChinaJoy will also host the first ChinaJoy Web3 Conference 2023 on July 29 at the Kerry Hotel in Pudong, Shanghai. The conference focuses on exploring the high-quality development path of Web3 technology in the new environment and discussing and showcasing the innovative achievements of Web3 technology empowering the digital economy industry.
On June 15, the Shanghai Municipal Government officially released the "Three-Year Action Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of Manufacturing Industry in Shanghai (2023-2025)." The "Action Plan" proposes to layout new tracks and future industries. It implements action plans for "four new tracks" and "five major future industries," developing digital new economies such as blockchain and Web3, and promoting significant applications of the metaverse. It accelerates the innovative application of the industrial metaverse and builds industrial metaverse platforms in fields such as civil aviation and fashion consumer goods.
The introduction of the "Action Plan" provides new guidance for the future development of the Web3 industry and creates positive external conditions for domestic and international Web3 companies aspiring to explore new paradigms of the digital economy.
Centered around the core objectives of the "Action Plan," this year's inaugural Web3 Conference will have the theme "Creating a New Era of Digital Economy." It will invite renowned domestic and international scholars, Web3 technology experts, entrepreneurs, and investors to discuss the future development trends of Web3 technology and the digital economy, revealing cutting-edge technological development trends and industry insights. Additionally, the conference will focus on how cutting-edge Web3 technologies can promote the development of the digital economy, deeply link ecological resources inside and outside the Web3 circle, accelerate the landing of industrial ecology, and help Shanghai build international influence in digital new economy fields such as Web3.
