"Vitalik: The Story of Ethereum" Hong Kong Offline Premiere Dr. Xiao Feng, Chairman and CEO of HashKey Group, Attended
The Ethereum documentary "Vitalik: The Story of Ethereum," co-sponsored by HashKey Tokenisation, SeeDao, and web3caff, held its offline premiere in Hong Kong on October 10. The documentary raised 1,036 ETH through crowdfunding and took three years to shoot and produce, allowing viewers to experience the journey of building Ethereum through the perspective of Vitalik Buterin.
Dr. Xiao Feng, Chairman and CEO of HashKey Group, attended the premiere with community members and reflected on the story of participating in the Chinese Ethereum community ecosystem alongside Vitalik from 2015 to 2017 before the screening. Dr. Xiao stated: "The goal of Ethereum is to allow everyone to freely participate, contribute, and share the value of blockchain technology while protecting privacy and security. Over the years, this young man who loves wearing T-shirts and programming has not changed his original intention, nor has the Ethereum network he has helped build. This network, which enables large-scale collaboration among strangers, will become an important force in promoting global social and economic development. I hope young people can gain something from this documentary."
The documentary opens with Vitalik Buterin enjoying tea, with the tea sourced from China, which was once an important commodity on the ancient Silk Road. Dr. Xiao mentioned: "The core of Ethereum is similar to tea; they both nourish all things and connect each other. The world built by decentralized networks can also enhance the exchange and mutual learning of human civilization."
HashKey Group has been actively building an open crypto-financial infrastructure through blockchain technology. Its Ethereum L2 network, HashKey Chain, is expected to launch public testing in the fourth quarter. By creating a secure, compliant, and innovation-friendly on-chain environment, HashKey will witness the transformative power of blockchain technology in promoting inclusive finance alongside community partners.
