Solana Hacker House lands in Taipei Huashan next week

The Hacker House world tour initiated by the Solana Foundation will make its debut in Taipei this year! From May 10 to May 14, the largest Solana blockchain event in Taiwan's history will be held at Huashan Creative Park.

This event encompasses a variety of Web3 themes, including: exploring the Solana ecosystem, the future of Web3, fundraising in a bear market, how to build a brand using Web3, and more.

If you are a team building your own project, you will also have the opportunity to present on the last day of the event, interacting face-to-face with core engineers from Solana Labs, foundation members, and heads of ecosystem funds, with a chance to receive over 3 million TWD in funding.

Founder: Solana has many advantages compared to new public chains

We know that competition among Layer 1 public chains is fierce, but data still shows that the Solana ecosystem remains active. According to a tweet released by the analytics company Nansen on the 3rd, the number of active wallet addresses on Solana in April ranked second among all blockchains, surpassing Ethereum and Polygon, only behind BNB Chain.

Solana founder Anatoly Yakovenko also expressed confidence in the future of the Solana blockchain during an interview with CoinDesk TV earlier this week:

They (other L1 public chains) are not as fast as Solana, do not have Solana's strong transaction processing capabilities, and do not have as many nodes running as Solana… I believe we are still far ahead in terms of technology.

Finally, regarding the impact of the FTX collapse on Solana, Yakovenko believes that FTX founder SBF was indeed a strong supporter of Solana, expressing support for the Solana ecosystem through token trading and investments, but emphasized that "the decline of FTX will not undermine the Solana ecosystem."
