Offchain Labs launched the permissionless verification protocol BoLD to defend against potential delay attacks on Arbitrum
ChainCatcher news, the Arbitrum development team Offchain Labs has launched a new permissionless verification protocol called "Bounded Liquidity Delay" (BoLD). Currently, Arbitrum relies on Ethereum to confirm the accuracy of its state, but BoLD will allow anyone to become a validator without the risk of delay attacks. BoLD can resolve all disputes within a single program, enabling the Arbitrum technology chain to safely open permissionless verification. It is reported that Offchain Labs plans to release instructions for running the Nitro developer testnet using BoLD in the coming weeks or months.
