The supermarket chain alleges that they deliberately chose a name similar to that of the supermarket. The chain's lawyer stated that the DEX created a narrative around the fictional "Trader Joe's," closely related to the supermarket's brand. They further questioned the cryptocurrency company's logo, which features an image of "Trader Joe" wearing a red hat, a color that is prominent in the grocery chain's branding.Trader Joe's supermarket chain is requesting the court to issue an order forcing the cryptocurrency company to cease using variations of its name in its business operations. It is also seeking ownership of the relevant domain names and additional damages determined through legal proceedings.
