Former Coinbase CTO founded Web3 Innovation University The Network School in Singapore
ChainCatcher news, Web3 investor Balaji announced the establishment of an innovative university named "The Network School" in Singapore. This university will be located on an island near Singapore, dedicated to providing development opportunities for "Dark Talent" (young talents who are gifted but overlooked by the mainstream world and are on the margins) from around the globe.It is reported that Balaji is a Stanford PhD, former Chief Technology Officer of Coinbase, and a partner at A16z, making him a top angel investor in the Web3 space. He stated that The Network School will focus on four core directions: "Learn, Burn, Earn, and Fun."Balaji expressed his hope that this university will become a true "Stanford 2.0," with its first 3-month semester scheduled to take place from September 23 to December 23 of this year. Enrollment requires payment of rent. The monthly rent is $1,000 (for shared accommodation) and $2,000 (for private accommodation), and students can also apply for short-term rentals. The rent includes an air-conditioned room located on a picturesque island, equipped with internet, a gym, and access to all courses and community services.
