Federal Reserve Chairman Powell's term will expire in May 2026, and he has stated that he will not resign voluntarily
ChainCatcher news, according to Reuters, Powell has stated that U.S. law does not allow the president to dismiss him, and even if Trump requests it, he will not resign voluntarily and plans to serve his full term, continuing as the Federal Reserve Chairman until May 2026.
In addition, Powell's term as a member of the Federal Reserve Board will last until January 2028. He also mentioned this week that he believes the cases currently being heard by the U.S. Supreme Court are unlikely to apply to the Federal Reserve.
