ChainCatcher News, at 3:12 AM Beijing time on April 17, the Base official released the "Base is for everyone" token on the Zora platform, with a market cap briefly soaring to 15 million USD. Shortly after, at 4:30 AM, they launched a second token named "Base @ FarCon 2025," causing the market cap of the former to temporarily drop to 1 million USD, which has now rebounded to about 6.7 million USD.

The Base official later stated that this move aims to encourage content to be on-chain, promote the development of on-chain culture, and emphasized that "Base has never sold these tokens, and these tokens are not official brand tokens of Base, Coinbase, or any related products." The official described this as a public experiment that will continue to explore how cultural content can be expressed on-chain.
