Fitch: The impact of tariffs has not yet been reflected in U.S. inflation data
ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, Fitch Ratings Chief Economist Brian Coulton stated: "The decline in core inflation in March will certainly be welcomed by the Federal Reserve, especially given the significant decrease in both core goods and services components. However, we know that before the tariff increases, businesses had already absorbed a large amount of imports in January and February, so the impact of the tariff increases on consumer goods prices has yet to be reflected."
