OpenAI countersues Musk, accusing him of harassment
ChainCatcher news, on April 9 local time, the OpenAI Research Center in the United States filed a counterclaim against Musk, accusing him of harassment and requesting a federal judge to prevent Musk from taking any further illegal and unfair actions against OpenAI, including attacks through the media and malicious propaganda.
Previously, Musk had sued OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman, accusing OpenAI of initially inviting Musk to fund a nonprofit AI research organization dedicated to benefiting humanity, but now focusing on profit. OpenAI emphasized that it remains committed to building the world's most capable nonprofit organization and disclosed that Musk had sought to merge OpenAI with Tesla and convert it into a for-profit entity, but withdrew after that attempt failed.
