I have previously made it clear that if any country imposes additional retaliatory tariffs on the United States, beyond its existing long-term tariff abuses, the U.S. will immediately respond with higher tariffs.

Therefore, if China fails to withdraw this additional 34% tariff by April 8, 2025, the U.S. will impose an additional 50% tariff on Chinese goods starting April 9.
