The competition consists of 8 rounds, with the best-performing AI agents selected in each round based on specific criteria, including market cap ranking, market cap growth, community member influence, and community engagement. The BNB Chain Foundation will purchase $10,000 worth of winning AI project tokens with BNB in each round and distribute them via airdrop to 1,000 users holding these tokens.

U.S. House of Representatives to hold hearing on April 9 to promote digital asset regulatory legislation

Crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett posted on social media that the House will hold a hearing on legislation regarding the structure of the crypto market. The House Financial Services Committee's Digital Asset Subcommittee will hold a hearing next Wednesday (April 9) to discuss establishing a federal regulatory framework for digital assets.

The theme of the hearing is "The Future of American Innovation and Digital Assets: Adjusting U.S. Securities Laws for the Digital Age," marking the first public push by the 119th Congress to establish rules governing the operation of the $2.7 trillion crypto industry in the U.S.

U.S. SEC delays decision on BlackRock's Ethereum ETF options trading until April 9

According to The Block, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) postponed its decision on whether to approve BlackRock's listing and trading of options on its spot Ethereum ETF on Friday. According to the submitted documents, the SEC stated it would decide by April 9, 2025, whether to approve or deny the proposal to allow options trading for BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust.

The SEC stated, "The Commission believes it is necessary to designate a longer period to issue an order approving or disapproving the proposed rule change to have sufficient time to consider the proposed rule change and the issues raised."

Also on Friday, the SEC sought public comments on a proposal submitted by Cboe BZX Exchange on behalf of Fidelity to list and trade options on its spot Ethereum ETF. Comments must be submitted within 21 days after publication in the Federal Register.

Do Kwon hearing postponed to April 10 due to need for more time to review 4TB of new evidence

According to Protos, the resolution of the court case for Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon has been postponed for a month as the U.S. government claims that Kwon's defense team needs more time to review an additional 4TB of evidence. The status conference originally scheduled for March 10, where both lawyers would discuss the current progress of the case and possible resolutions, has been postponed. Based on a written request submitted by the U.S. government, the New York District Court has postponed the meeting to April 10. The court agreed to the U.S. request and stated that the meeting would be delayed to allow the defense to review the large amount of evidence.

The U.S. government claims it submitted 600GB of evidence to the defense on February 27, including Kwon's phone data, emails, and cryptocurrency transaction records. Additionally, the government stated it expects to provide an additional 4TB of evidence to the defense by the end of next week. The court order postponing the meeting noted that the final trial is still scheduled for January 26, 2026.

U.S. judge delays ruling on Mango Markets attacker until April 10

According to Cointelegraph, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian has postponed the ruling on Mango Markets attacker Avi Eisenberg until April 10. Documents show that the judge postponed the sentencing hearing to April 10 at the request of Eisenberg's attorney, which was originally scheduled for a hearing on December 12.

Previously, Avi Eisenberg was convicted of fraud and market manipulation in April 2024 and could face 20 years in prison.

FTX next round of distribution registration date is April 11

FTX announced that it has begun the first distribution of funds to approved claim holders in the Convenience Classes under FTX's Chapter 11 reorganization plan. Customers are expected to receive funds within 1 to 3 business days.

The expected registration date for the next round of distribution is April 11, 2025, applicable to holders of approved FTX Class 5 customer equity claims and Class 6 general unsecured claims, as defined in the reorganization plan.

For Convenience Claims approved after the initial registration date but not yet received distributions, the next registration date is also set for April 11, 2025. The next round of distributions is expected to begin on May 30, 2025.

Cross-chain protocol Hyperlane announces HYPER airdrop details; users must check eligibility by April 13

According to CoinDesk, the interoperability protocol Hyperlane has revealed details of its airdrop, which will take place on April 22, with the majority of token distribution going to the community, where 57% will go to users, and the remaining circulating tokens will be allocated to the core team (25%), investors (10.9%), and the foundation treasury (7.1%).

Users can check their eligibility for the $HYPER token through the portal provided by the Hyperlane Foundation before April 13.
