Twitter co-founder: Bitcoin will fail if it is only a store of value
ChainCatcher news, Twitter co-founder and current Block CEO Jack Dorsey stated in the "Presidio Bitcoin" podcast that if Bitcoin merely becomes a store of value, it will fail because Bitcoin's success stems from payments. However, due to its limited supply, Bitcoin has the potential to become a store of value on par with gold. This perspective has led many people to be reluctant to spend their Bitcoin, as they hope the asset's value will continue to grow. But Jack Dorsey pointed out that if Bitcoin does not transition to payments and find everyday use cases, it will ultimately deviate from the original intent of the white paper, leading to eventual failure.
