ChainCatcher news, according to koreaherald, in 2024, Upbit operator Dunamu's operating profit increased by 85% year-on-year, reaching 1.19 trillion won (811 million USD). Sales revenue surged by 70.5% to 1.73 trillion won, and net profit grew by 22% to 983.8 billion won.
The company stated that this is Dunamu's highest earnings ever, reflecting a surge in demand from investors under highly optimistic conditions, especially due to the support for cryptocurrencies from U.S. President Donald Trump.
By the end of 2024, the number of cryptocurrency investors in South Korea increased by 52% year-on-year to 9.67 million, with their total holdings soaring to 105.1 trillion won.
