ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Unicoin CEO Alex Konanykhin stated that the company is still under investigation by the SEC. He has written to the SEC requesting the termination of the charges and a review of the enforcement officials' "politicized regulation" behavior.

Previously, the SEC had accused Unicoin of fraud and illegal securities issuance during the final days of the Biden administration, prompting the company to relocate its operations to Europe. After the Trump administration pushed for the U.S. to become the "global crypto capital," the company planned to return to New York for an IPO but is once again facing a civil lawsuit from the SEC. Konanykhin claimed that the SEC's accusation of "illegal airdrops" is a common marketing practice in the industry, which was also used when "the president issued meme coins," and emphasized that Unicoin is actively preparing for its IPO plans.

An SEC spokesperson did not comment on the status of the case.
