Arbitrum DAO considers reclaiming unused funds from the Game Catalyst program
ChainCatcher message, Arbitrum DAO member Nathanvander Heyden submitted a proposal calling for the retraction of unused funds allocated to the Arbitrum Game Catalyst Program (GCP). The program, which is set to launch in 2024, aims to position Arbitrum as a leading platform for on-chain game development. "We must gradually cease GCP activities and ensure all possible funds are secured to protect the DAO's finances and restore investor confidence in the DAO's ability to allocate capital," vanderHeyden wrote in a governance forum post. The community member also noted that GCP has been reluctant to document its activities and that the program has not fulfilled its promises.
