Arbitrum DAO plans to withdraw 225 million ARB from the gaming incentive program, questioning poor project management and lack of transparency
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the Arbitrum DAO is considering whether to withdraw the remaining funds of the "Gaming Catalyst Program (GCP)" launched in 2024. The program was originally allocated 225 million ARB (approximately 215 million USD at the time) to support the Web3 gaming ecosystem over three years.
The proposal points out that the project was overly optimistic at the time of approval, and issues such as lack of transparency, management changes, and key supporters withdrawing have now emerged. GCP council members responded that 25 gaming chain projects are already using Arbitrum technology. Currently, the community has not reached a consensus.
