ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Europe's largest industrial technology company Siemens is collaborating with IoT distributed ledger builder Minima to embed blockchain technology into Siemens' devices in the automotive, robotics, and energy sectors.

According to a press release from both parties on Tuesday, Minima is working with Siemens' Cre8Ventures division, which is part of Siemens' initiative to accelerate industrial transformation by collaborating with startups in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital twins, and cybersecurity. As computing power gradually shifts to the network edge, the demand for embedding security and data integrity in these edge devices is growing, which is where IoT-level blockchain technology comes into play.

Minima CEO Hugo Feiler stated in an interview, "As the computing capabilities of edge devices improve, even large enterprise clients need to ensure the resilience of their systems. Therefore, the ability of these large enterprises to operate decentralized systems is also crucial for them. Decentralization is not just about removing them as intermediaries; it also allows them to expand their service offerings more deeply."
