Malware MassJacker targets users of pirated software to steal cryptocurrency, with affected wallets exceeding 770,000

ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, CyberArk has discovered a new type of cryptocurrency hijacking malware called MassJacker that targets users of pirated software by hijacking cryptocurrency transactions through replacing addresses stored in the clipboard. Users may unknowingly infect their devices when downloading pirated software.

CyberArk found that there are 778,531 unique wallets associated with this theft, with 423 wallets having previously held cryptocurrency assets.
