A man in Hong Kong was robbed after trading virtual currency, losing over 300,000 in cash

ChainCatcher news, according to Hong Kong's Ming Pao, on the 13th at around 11 a.m., the Hong Kong police received a report from a 41-year-old man surnamed Wang, stating that he was attacked by a man with a wooden stick in front of the sports hall at Lai Chi Kok Park on Lai Wan Road, and had a plastic bag containing 318,000 HKD in cash stolen. The thief fled towards Yinghui Terrace. Police officers arrived at the scene to investigate and took the victim in a police car to search for the suspect nearby, but did not find him. The male victim was struck on his left hand by the stick, and after being checked and bandaged by paramedics, he refused to be sent to the hospital.

It is reported that the victim had earlier traded virtual currency at Song Wong Toi, receiving over 300,000 HKD in cash, and was on his way back to his residence in Wah Lai Village with the large sum of money in a plastic bag when he was robbed. The police have classified the case as robbery and are searching for a man approximately 1.75 meters tall, who was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt at the time of the incident.
