The U.S. Customs has begun releasing seized Bitcoin mining machines
ChainCatcher news, according to TheMinerMag, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has begun releasing some of the Bitcoin mining machines that were previously detained at U.S. airports. Taras Kulyk, CEO of Synteq Digital, told Reuters that "thousands of mining machines" have been released, but Luxor COO Ethan Vera stated that not all mining machines have been cleared.
Since September of last year, U.S. Customs has seized a large number of cryptocurrency mining machines, with initial reports indicating that CBP primarily targeted Bitmain's Antminer, but another Chinese mining machine manufacturer, Bgin, disclosed in its prospectus that over 2,400 of its devices were also seized.
