India has seized $2.75 million in cryptocurrency in the GainBitcoin scam
ChainCatcher news, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of India announced this week that it has seized cryptocurrencies and other key evidence worth ₹239.4 million (approximately $2.75 million) during a nationwide raid targeting the Gainbitcoin scam.
The CBI conducted searches at over 60 locations in India from February 25 to 26, 2025, targeting individuals and entities suspected of money laundering fraud. Major cities involved in the operation included Delhi, Pune, Nanded, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Mohali, Jhansi, and Hubli.
