ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the decentralized staking protocol EigenLayer, the prediction market platform Polymarket, and the decentralized oracle protocol UMA have announced a collaboration to jointly develop a next-generation oracle system. This system will be developed based on EigenLayer's infrastructure, utilizing its staking mechanism and EIGEN tokens to verify factual truths through "intersubjective consensus," a mechanism that relies on community consensus rather than purely objective data.

EigenLayer's technology allows users to reuse staked ETH or liquid staking tokens to secure additional services like oracles while benefiting from the security of the Ethereum network.

Polymarket is currently using UMA's optimistic oracle system for market settlements, having successfully processed over 10,000 prediction markets, the vast majority of which have not been disputed. This collaborative project is still in the research and development phase, and specific technical architecture and launch timelines have not yet been disclosed.
