Google Gemini may add AI video generation features
ChainCatcher message, Google app v16.6.23 code shows that Gemini may soon support video generation (videogen) feature, but this feature has not been officially launched, and the release date is uncertain.
In the code, "videogen" appears alongside "robin" (Gemini's internal code name) and includes prompts such as "We will notify you when ready," suggesting that Gemini may have AI video generation capabilities.
Currently, Google has launched Google Vids, which supports script writing, editing, voice generation, background removal, and other features, but it is not a purely generative AI video system.
