Société Générale: The Federal Reserve's rate cuts may be delayed until mid-2026
ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, analysts at BNP Paribas Markets 360 expect that the Federal Reserve may not cut interest rates until mid-2026. They have held this view since early December last year.
Their prediction is partly based on expectations regarding tariffs, but recent news suggests that they may have to raise their initial estimates on tariffs. This has made analysts more confident in their inflation expectations, which are already above market consensus. The money market currently expects the Federal Reserve to restart interest rate cuts in September.
