ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, a document released on Friday shows that Arca, a subsidiary of the New York Stock Exchange, has submitted an application to the SEC to "allow Grayscale's Ethereum ETF to stake." Earlier this week, the Cboe BZX exchange requested the SEC to permit staking of the ETH held in the 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF.

If approved, these ETFs will be able to earn additional returns from their substantial ETH holdings, which may be passed on to investors. The document from the New York Stock Exchange states that the "trust" will also receive a portion of the staking rewards.

It is reported that the Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF was launched after the company converted its Ethereum trust into an open-end fund, managing nearly $1.3 billion in assets. Coinbase, as the trust custodian, holds 477,428 ETH.
