ChainCatcher news, RootData announced on X that Brian Quintenz has been nominated as the chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). He has been nominated as a CFTC commissioner by both Obama and Trump and has been a strong supporter of cryptocurrency and DeFi. This could be a positive signal for A16z-backed projects.

RootData has compiled the top 20 tokenless projects invested by A16z (sorted by total funding), and Story Protocol is the only Web3 project where A16z has continuously led three rounds of financing, with its TGE (Token Generation Event) officially launching today.
