Newbie CZ online tutoring for meme, enthusiastic netizens spend big to expose "dogs"

Around midnight on February 13, Beijing time, X platform user Vee (@theveeman) asked CZ in a tweet thread: "CZ, do you have a pet dog?"
Recently very active CZ replied: "Yes, it's not a Shiba Inu, but a Belgian Malinois."
As soon as the news broke, about a hundred people replied in the comments: What is the dog's name? Please tell me his name and show me a photo! Oh, I love dogs so much. I used to volunteer at an animal shelter in the U.S., and I just casually asked what the dog's name was. We really just want to see how cute your dog is!
Of course, these people were all aiming to create a Memecoin. CZ was well aware of this, so he later posted:
"A honest newbie question. How does this work? I share my dog's name and photo, and then everyone creates a memecoin? How do I know which one is 'official'? Or does it not matter at all? (I see many people asking for names and photos.)"
After that, several KOL accounts explained the mechanism of Memecoin in the comments, including that among several memes with the same name, there will ultimately be one that becomes the 'official' meme through a consensus mechanism.
Then, after a series of Twitter interactions, CZ tweeted:
"I have the answer now. (Memecoin is a) very interesting way to operate. I will take about a day to think carefully about this big decision as usual. Is it respecting privacy, or exposing the dog's information for this cause? Oh, I might even interact with a few memecoins on the BNB Chain."
Subsequently, someone in the comments tweeted: "Just post a random dog photo with a random name, it should have the same effect." CZ replied: "No, that would be lying. If you do it, do it right. It's just sharing a photo and name of a dog."
The entire story ends here. However, attentive netizens did not let this matter go: they dug up clues about CZ's dog from various old information. Opinions varied on this point, with some saying the name is Perry, others saying Bean, some saying Maverick, and others mentioning names like Cleo. Naturally, various Memecoins started to appear frequently.
Some even dug up a post from the Binance official account in 2020, which gathered several pet names from Binance employees at the time, speculating that one of them might be CZ's:
There was also a post showing a dog wearing Binance clothing, pretending (or not pretending) to be CZ's dog:
Additionally, a foreign KOL tried to prove through an old Chinese article, using translation software, that CZ has another dog, a Springer Spaniel named Sadie:
Some even offered a reward of $100,000 to $200,000 to ask people close to CZ for the dog's name, which just shows how crazy this world is:
Someone also said, who knows CZ's former cellmate? They must have talked a lot in four months, so they could ask that person if they know the dog's name.
Currently, if CZ really releases a Meme, it is highly likely to be issued on the BNB Chain, and it is uncertain whether it will be one of the names mentioned above. Memecoin enthusiasts are ready to go on-chain with BNB. It is also possible that, given the current environment, CZ may choose not to issue this Meme. Regardless, the answer will be revealed tomorrow.
