ChainCatcher news, according to a source familiar with the matter, the OpenAI board has not yet received a formal acquisition offer from the Musk consortium.

Previously, Musk announced his intention to acquire the nonprofit organization that oversees the artificial intelligence company for $97.4 billion. Musk's lawyer stated that the offer has been sent to OpenAI's external counsel, but sources within the OpenAI board said that as of February 11, no formal offer had been received.

In earlier news, OpenAI founder Sam Altman commented on Musk's proposal to acquire OpenAI, saying: I have nothing to say, this is ridiculous.
