Santiment: ETH sees the largest CEX outflow in nearly two years, long-term investors remain confident
ChainCatcher news, the cryptocurrency market research firm Santiment released a chart report stating that approximately 224,410 ETH were withdrawn from trading platforms within 24 hours from February 8 to 9, marking a historic milestone. This is the largest known single-day net outflow of Ethereum from trading platform wallets in 23 months.
Although this is more of a long-term indicator, it is still a positive signal for the currently sluggish Ethereum price. The outflow of assets from trading platforms usually indicates that investors are confident in holding for the long term. A reduction in tokens available for public sale in the market also means that the likelihood of a large-scale sell-off in the future is lower. It should be noted that Ethereum's performance in 2025 will still largely depend on whether Bitcoin can maintain stability and attempt to rebound to its historical highs.
