Proton launches self-hosted Bitcoin wallet, supporting iOS, Android, and Web

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the privacy technology company Proton announced that its self-hosted Bitcoin wallet Proton Wallet is now officially open to all users, supporting iOS, Android, and Web. Previously, the wallet was only available to early experience users.

Proton was founded in 2014 in Switzerland by CERN scientists, and its products include privacy protection services such as Proton Mail, Proton VPN, and Proton Drive, with a total user base of over 100 million. Proton stated that the wallet is designed to allow users to hold and trade Bitcoin more securely and conveniently, while also supporting sending BTC via email and using end-to-end encryption to enhance privacy.
