U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis: If 1 million bitcoins are allocated as a strategic reserve, it could reduce U.S. debt by half over the next 20 years
ChainCatcher news, Cynthia Lummis, the proposer of the "Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Act" and chair of the Senate Banking Committee's Digital Assets Subcommittee, stated, "If we use 5% of the total supply of Bitcoin (about 1 million Bitcoins) to establish reserves, then the U.S. debt could be reduced by half over the next 20 years."
